Rod Varley is a photographer and arts consultant based in Anglesey, North Wales.

After studying photography and film at Derby he moved to London in 1984 where he set-up and programmed the gallery and cinema at Watermans Arts Centre; in 1988 he was appointed Senior Curator for Film at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and was responsible for leading the Pictureville Cinema and Cinerama projects; he went on to set-up Harbour Lights Cinema in Southampton; oversaw the re-opening of The Everyman in Hampstead, and was Managing Director of the Association of Photographers.

Rod has an MBA and since 2005 has worked freelance providing management support for arts organisations in addition to his own creative practice.
